At ODE Dermatology, every medical consultation is personally conducted by Melbourne dermatologist, Dr. Shammi Theesan, a highly esteemed Australian board-certified dermatologist with credentials including MBBS, BMedSci, and FACD. Given the advanced efficacy of our protocols, a mandatory consultation is required to assess and optimise each client's treatment pathway.

All of our consultations attract a Medicare rebate for eligible clients, provided a valid referral from a GP is presented. Additionally, the consultation fee can be applied toward the prescribed protocol, offering further value and continuity of care. You can learn more here.

Consultations are scheduled for 20 minutes and involve the following steps:

1. Dr. Shammi Theesan's appointed medical assistant will welcome you and begin your service by capturing clinical images of your area/s of concern, which will be stored in your medical file for our viewing.

2. Dr Shammi will then engage in a 10-minute consultation. During this time, she will attentively ascertain your present concerns, medical history, lifestyle and nuances. For complex matters, this timeframe may naturally extend beyond the initial 10 minutes.
